Aizawa Shuhei

Aizawa Shuhei, born 14 September, 1963 in the city of Iida, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Undergraduate studies in Forestry and graduate studies in Agriculture in the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Agriculture, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Department of Forest Science, with BSc in Forestry (1988), and MSc in Agriculture (1990), in the city of Tokyo, Japan. Researcher for the Department of Forest Soils, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, in the city of Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan (1990-1992; 2002-2006). Researcher for Tohoku Research Center, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, in the city of Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, Japan (1993-2001). Chair for Soil-Plant Ecosystem Group at Hokkaido Research Center, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, in the city of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan (2007-2016). Research Team Leader for the Department of Forest Soils, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, in the city of Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan (2017-present). Research interests in study forest soil-plant ecosystems, soil chemistry. Author and co-author of more than 45 scientific publications.
