Graduated from Bryansk State Academy of Engineering and Technology (at the present time – Bryansk State University of Engineering and Technology), Faculty of Forestry, with a specialty in Forestry (2005), MSc. in Ecology at Pushchinsky State University (at the present time – Pushchinsky State Natural Sciences Institute) (2007), PhD course in the Centre on Problems of Ecology and Productivity of Forests, Russian Academy of Sciences (2010). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (2010). PhD thesis: «Sostoyanie Populyatsii i Sredopreobrazuyushchaya Deyatelnost Bobra Evropeiskogo na Territorii Zapovednika “Bryanskii Les i Ego Okhrannoi Zony» (Condition of the Population and Environment Transforming Activity of the European Beaver at the Territory of Bryansk Forest Nature Reserve and its Protection Zone), Moscow, 2010 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Structural and Functional Organization and Sustainability of Forest Ecosystems, Centre on Problems of Ecology and Productivity of Forests, Russian Academy of Sciences, in the city of Moscow (since 2010). Scientific interests in dynamics of forest ecosystems, old-growth forests, land use, ecosystem services. Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications.
