Arkhipov Vladimir Ivanovich, born 17 October 1953. Graduated from Leningrad Forest Technical Academy (at the present time – S. M. Kirov Saint-Petersburg State Forest Technical University) Forestry Faculty, with a specialty «Forestry Engineer» (1976). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Planning and Forest Inventory (2004). Director for the Department of Science and Innovation at Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Roslesinforg» (since 2012). PI and Co-PI for a numerous scientific and innovation projects in the field of remote sensing, forest inventory and forest management carried out by «Roslesinforg». Honored Forester of the Russian Federation. Research interest and expertise in forest inventory, forest planning and management, remote sensing application in forestry. Author and co-author of more than 40 scientific publications on forest inventory topics.
