Berezin Victor Ivanovich, born 15 August 1946. Graduated from Leningrad Forest Technical Academy (at the present time – S. M. Kirov Saint-Petersburg State Forest Technical University) Forestry Faculty, with a specialty «Forestry Engineer» (1970). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Planning and Forest Inventory (1974). Vice-head for the Department of a New Technologies’ Development at the North-West Branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Roslesinforg» «Sevzaplesproject» (since 2012). Research interests and expertise in forest planning and forest inventory, forest management, remote sensing application in forestry, inventory of natural resources, forest hydrology. PI and Co-PI for a numerous scientific and innovation projects in the field of forest inventory and monitoring by remote sensing methods, carried out by the North-West Branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Roslesinforg» «Sevzaplesproject». Author and co-author of more than 100 papers, tutorials for graduate students and guidelines.
