Borisov Alexander Nikolaevich, born 18 August 1950. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University), Faculty of Physics (at the present time – School of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics), with a specialty in Biophysics, in the city of Krasnoyarsk (1972). Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD) in Mathematical and Software Securing of Computing Machines and Nets (1985). PhD thesis: «Fur'e Metody Avtomatizirovannoi Obrabotki Krupnomashtabnykh Aerofotoizibrazenii Lesnykh Massivov» (Fourier Methods of Automatic Processing Large Scale Aerial Images of Forest Massives), Tomsk, S. M. Kirov Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, 1985 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist (1992) for the Laboratory of Technogenic Forest Ecosystems at V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch in the city of Krasnoyarsk (since 2009). Scientific interests in mathematical biophysics, bioinformatics, and forest ecology. Author and co-author of more than 70 peer-reviewed papers, including chapters in 4 books.
