Fedotova Elena Viktorovna, born 7 May, 1960 in the urban-type settlement of Yemelyanovo, Yemelyanovsky District, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University), Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (at the present time – School of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Siberian Federal University), Department of Applied Mathematics (at the present time – Department of Higher and Applied Mathematics), with a specialty in Mathematics, and qualification Mathematician, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (1982). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Bioinformatics (2002). PhD thesis: «Spektroradiometricheskaya S’emka v Tematicheskom Analize Lesnykh Territoriy» (Spectroradiometric Survey in Thematic Analysis of Forest Territories), Krasnoyarsk, V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., 2002 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Forest Monitoring at V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, Federal Research Center, Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (since 2002 to present time). The main direction of scientific research - analysis of forest cover and its dynamics by the remote sensing data. Author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications.
