Goroshkevich Sergey Nikolaevich, born 9 October, 1960. Graduated from Omsk State Pedagogical Institute (at the present time – Omsk State Pedagogical University), Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography (at the present time – School of Natural Sciences), with a specialty in Geography and Biology, qualification Teacher of Geography and Biology, in the city of Omsk, Omsk Oblast, Russia (1982). Candidate (PhD, 1988), and Doctor (DSc, 2011) of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor (2005), in Botany. PhD thesis: «Morfostruktura Generativnykh Yarusov Krony Kedra Sibirskogo (Pinus sibirica Du Tour)» (Morphostructure of Generative Layers of Crown of the Siberian Stone Pine Pinus sibirica Du Tour), Tomsk, Tomsk St. Univ., 1988 (in Russian). DSc thesis: «Prostranstvenno-Vremennaya i Strukturno-Funktsional'naya Organizatsiya Krony Kedra Sibirskogo» (Spatial-Temporal and Structural-Functional Organization of the Siberian Stone Pine Crown), Tomsk, Tomsk St. Univ., 2011 (in Russian). Head for the Laboratory of Dendroecology, ”Kedr” (Siberian Stone Pine) Research Station (Nursery) at the Institute of Monitoring of Climatic and Ecological Systems, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, in the city of Tomsk, Tomsk Oblast, Russia (since 2003 to present time). Expert in dendrology, woody plant ecology, forest genetics and selection. Head and supervisor for projects, directed to researches, saving, usage and reproduction of forest genetic resources. Member of the United Academic Council on Biologyof the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2013). Member of the editorial board for peer-reviewed scientific journal Sibirski Lesnoi Zhurnal (Siberian Journal of Forest Science), and editorial board of the Journal of Forestry Research. Author and co-author of more than 140 papers, including 50 articles in peer review academic journals.
