Kirbizekova Irina Ivanovna, born 5 November, 1964 in the city of Irkutsk. Graduated from V. I. Lenin Tashkent State University (at the present time – the National University of Uzbekistan Named after Mirzo Ulugbek), Faculty of Physiscs, with a specialty in Astronomy (1986), PhD course at the Institute of Applied Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences in the city of St. Petersburg (1998). Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD) in Astronomy and Sky Mechanics (1998). PhD thesis: «Fazovye Deformatsii i Peremeshivanie v Zvezdnyh Sistemah: Dvuhmernyy i Chetyrehmernyy Analiz» (Faze Deformations and Interfusion in Star Systems: Two-Dimensional and Four-Dimensional Analysis), St. Petersburg, 1998 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Sector of Optical and Microwave Diagnostics and Processing of Space Information at the Institute of Physical Material Science, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, Associate Professor, Head for the Department of Land Planning, Institute of Land Planning, Cadastre and Melioration at V. R. Filippov Buryat State Agricultural Academy in the city of Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia. Research interests in application of radiolocation polarimetry and textural analysis of the satellite scenes in forest mapping, studies of landscape changes of the northern territories and ice cover dynamics of the Baikal lake. Author and co-author of more than 60 scientific publications.
