Kawada Kiyokazu, born 28 May, 1976 in Japan. Graduated from Ibaraki University, College of Education with BSc. in Teaching (1999). Completed Master Course with MSc. in Agriculture (2001), and Doctor Course on Appropriate Technology and Science for Sustainable Development with PhD in Agriculture (2005) at Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences at University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan. Research Scientist for the National Institute for Agro-Environmental Sciences, Japan (2005-2008), Research Scientist (2008-2009), Assistant Professor (2009-2011) for the Alliance for Research on North Africa, University of Tsukuba, Assistant Professor for the Laboratory of Silviculture and Nature Conservation, College of Agro-Biological Resource Sciences, School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan (since 2011 till now). Research interests in plant resource use and ecosystem management in semi-arid lands. Author and co-author of more than 25 papers and 5 books.
