Lakida Petr Ivanovich

Lakida Petr Ivanovich, born 21 June, 1955 in the village of Vitonizh, Rozhyshchenskyi Raion, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine (former Soviet Union). Graduated from the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy (at the present time – National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Education and Research Institute of Forestry and Park Gardening) with a specialty in Forestry, and qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Kiev, Ukraine (1980). Candidate (PhD, 1986) and Doctor (1997) of Agricultural Sciences in Forest Planning and Forest Inventory. DSc. thesis: «Produktyvnist lisovykh nasadzhen Ukrainy za komponentamy nadzemnoi fitomasy» (Productivity of Forest Stands of Ukraine by Components of Aboveground Phytomass), Kiev, Ukraine, 1997 (in Ukrainian). Professor for the Department of Forest Management (since 2001 to the present time), Director for the Education and Research Institute of Forestry and Park Gardening at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (since 2002 to the present time). The Honored Educator of Ukraine (2000), Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (2001), Academician of the Forest Academy of Ukraine (2002), the Honorus Forester of Ukraine (2005), the Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2008). Supervised 26 PhD and advised 5 DSc dissertations. Research interests in growth and biotic productivity of forests. Author and co-author of more than 420 scientific publications, including 45 books, textbooks and instruction documents.
