Stelmaszczuk-Górska Martyna A., born 30 January 1981. Graduated from the University of Warsaw Faculty of Geology, and Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies. M.S. degrees in Engineering Geology (with distinction, 2005), and in Remote Sensing & Geoinformatics (2008). Spent half a year at the Aarhus University Department of GeoScience, Denmark within the Socrates-Erasmus Scholarship. Post-graduate studies in Innovation Management at the Warsaw School of Economics (2012). Project coordinator at the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2007–2011). Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher for the Department of Earth Observation at the Friedrich-Schiller University (2011), Jena, Germany, within the GIONET GMES Initial Operations – Network for Earth Observation Research Training project (GIONET), as well as PhD candidate. The main research is focused on radar remote sensing for forest aboveground biomass retrieval.
