Németh Róbert
Németh Róbert, born 9th May 1971 in the city of Sopron, Hungary. Graduated from the University of Sopron, Faculty of Wood Sciences, with MSc in Wood Engineering (1994), and PhD in Material Sciences and Technologies (2003). Professor (2014), Head for the Faculty of Wood Sciences, University of Sopron, in the city of Sopron, Hungary. Research and education activities at the Department of Wood Processing and Biomaterials, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, in the city of Prague, Czech Republic (2018-present). Research interests in hydrothermal, thermal and other modifications of wood, wood quality (mostly on black locust, poplar and beech), sorption properties, drying of wood, permeability and mechanical properties of wood. PI and Co-PI for a numerous EC-founded research projects, concerning wood modification and developing industrial processes (1996-present). Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications.
