Opalko Olga Anatol’evna

Opalko Olga Anatol’evna, born 28 October, 1978 in the village of Shenderovka, Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi Raion, Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine. Graduated from the Uman State Agrarian Academy (at the present time – Uman National University of Horticulture), Faculty of Horticulture (at the present time – the Faculty of Horticulture, Ecology and Plants Protection), with a specialty in Horticulture, qualification Researcher-Agronomist, in the city of Uman, Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine (2000). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD, 2004), Associate Professor (2007) in Pomiculture and Viticulture. PhD thesis: «Regeneratsiyna Zdatnist' Sortiv, Gibridnikh Siyantsiv, Klonovikh Pidshchep ta Dekorativnikh Form Yabluni v Zvyazku z Iknimi Gospodars'kimi Vlastivostyami» (Regenerative Capacity of Cultivars of Hybrid Seedlings, Clonal Tree Stocks, and Ornamental Forms of an Apple Tree in Connection with Their Economic Properties), Uman, Uman State Agrarian Academy, 2004 (in Ukrainian). Senior Research Scientist for the Department of Genetics, Breeding and Reproductive Biology of Plants, at the National Dendrological Park Sofiyivka of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in the city of Uman, Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine (2010-present). Research interests in study biological specifics and regeneration capacity of woody plants of Rosaceae family. Author and co-author of more than 200 scientific publications, incl. 3 monographs, 3 patents for an inventions, 2 author certificates for plant species, and more than 70 research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
