Polyakova Galina Gennadievna, born 17 February, 1951 in the village of Voznesenka, Khorolsky District, Primorsky Krai, Russia (former Soviet Union). Graduated from Tomsk State University (at the present time – National Research Tomsk State University) Faculty of Biology and Soil Science (at the present time – Institute of Biology, Ecology, Soil Science, Agriculture and Forestry (Institute of Biology) (1980). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology and Physiology of Plants (1999), Doctor of Biological Sciences (DSc) in Physiology and Biochemistry of Plants (2012).
