Ponomarev Vasiliy Ivanovich, born 09 November 1957, in the city of Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from A. M. Gor’kiy Ural State University (USU) (12 May 2011 USU has been affiliated to Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Eltsin), Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Department of Biology and Fundamental Medicine, Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics), with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, Teacher of Biology and Chemistry, in the city of Sverdlovsk (4 September 1991 the city of Sverdlovsk regained its historical name Yekaterinburg), Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (1984). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Plant Protection from Pests and Diseases (1994), Doctor of Biological Sciences (DSc) in Plant Protection (2004). PhD thesis: «Ekologicheskie Osobennosti Zaural’skoy Populyatsii Neparnogo Shelkopryada (Lymantria dispar L.) v Period Vspyshki Massovogo Razmnozheniya» (Ecological Features of the Trans-Ural Population of Gypsy Moth (Lymantria dispar L.)
