Prokushkin Stanislav Grigorievich, born 5 October 1939, in an urban-type settlement of Cherdakly, Cherdaklinsky District, Ul'yanovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from the Ural Forest Technical Institute (at the present time – Ural State Forest Engineering University), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Institute of Forest and Nature Management), in the city of Sverdlovsk (at the present time – Yekaterinburg) (1963). Since 1963 to 1966 worked as forest inventory engineer for the Ulyanovsk Forest Inventory Expedition of the All-USSR (National) Association «Lesproekt» (at the present time – Povolzskii Branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Roslesinforg). After completing PhD studies on Plant Physiology at the Department of Botany and Dendrology in the Ural Institute of Forest Engineering (1966-1969), employed as a Research Assistant for the Laboratory of Ecology & Woody Plant Physiology at V. N. Sukachev Inst. For. & Timber USSR Acad. Sci., Sib. Br. (at the present time – V. N. Sukachev Inst. For., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br. Fed. Res. Center Krasnoyarsk Sci. Center, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br.), in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Soviet Union (1969). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD, 1972), Senior Research Scientist (1984) in Plant Physiology.
