Raevsky Boris Vladimirovich, born 29 July 1961. Graduated from Petrozavodsk State University, Faculty of Forest Engineering (at the present time – Institute of Forestry, Engineering and Construction Sciences) with a specialty in Forestry (1983). Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (DSc.) in Forest Crops, Selection and Seed Growing (2015). DSc. thesis: "Seleksciya i Semenovodstvo Sosny Obyknovennoi (Pinus sylvestris L.) i Sosny Skruchennoi (Pinus contorta Dougl. ex Loud. var. latifolia Engelm) na Severo-Zapade Taeznoi Zony Rossii" (Selection and Seed Growing of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Shore Pine (Pinus contorta Dougl. ex Loud. var. latifolia Engelm) in the North-West of Taiga Zone of Russia), Petrozavodsk, 2015 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for he Laboratory for Boreal Forest Dynamics and Production at Forestry Research Institute, Karelian Research Centre, Russian Academy of Sciences in the city of Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia (since 2014). Specialist in forest genetics and breeding. Author and co-author of more than 90 papers.
