Sobakin Pyotr Innokent'evich, born 28 December, 1964 in the village of Myryla, Churapchinsky District, Sakha Republic, Russia. Graduated from Yakutsk State University (at the present time – North-Eastern Federal University), Faculty of Geology and Survey, with a specialty in Geophysics, and qualification Mining Engineer-Geophysicist, in the city of Yakutsk, Sakha Republic, Russia (1990). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (1998), Doctor of Biological Sciences in Soil Science (2015). PhD thesis: «Osobennosti Migratsii Tyazhelykh Estestvennykh Radionuklidov v Gorno-Taezhnykh Landshaftakh Yuzhnoy Yakutii» (The Features of Migration of Heavy Natural Radionuclides in Mountain-Taiga Landscapes of Southern Yakutia), Inst. Plant Animal Ecol., Rus. Acad. Sci., Ural Br., Yekaterinburg, 1998 (in Russian). DSc thesis: «Estestvennye i Iskusstvennye Radionuklidy v Merzlotnykh Pochvakh Yakutii» (Natural and Artificial Radionuclides in Permafrost Soils of Yakutia), Inst. Gen. Exp. Biol., Rus. Acad.
