Sofronova Tatiana Markovna, born 6 September 1980, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from V. P. Astafiev Krasnoyasrsk State Pedagogical University (2002), Faculty of Foreign Languages with a specialty in English Philology, qualification Teacher of English and German languages, PhD studies in Silviculture (2002-2006) at the Department of Silviculture, Faculty of ForestrySiberian State University of Technology (SSUT) (in 2016 SSUT affiliated to Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology), PhD studies in Linguistics at the Department of General Linguistics, V. P. Astafiev Krasnoyasrsk State Pedagogical University (2007-2010), in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (2006). PhD studies in Geography at the University of Maryland, USA (2010-2011). Member of the International Association of Wildland Fire – IAWF (2009-present). The main research interests are in improvement of fire hazard assessment, automatized creation of improved local scales of fire danger. Author and coauthor of more than 90 scientific publications, including monographs: «Wildland fires in mountain forests»,  Krasnoyarsk, 2005 (in Russian); «Improvement of fire danger rating in the Southern Baikal Lake basin», Krasnoyarsk, 2007 (in Russian); «Forest Fire Science Terminology: Modeling of a Bilingual Glossary», Krasnoyarsk, 2012 (in Russian and in English).
