Tarasova Olga Viktorovna, born 19 May 1955. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) Faculty of Biology with a specialty in «Biology» (1978) (In 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University). Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in Ecology (2004), Head for the Department of Ecology and Geography, Institute of Economics, Management and Environmental Sciences, Professor for the Department of Ecology and Nature Use at the Siberian Federal University. Expert in the field of forest ecology. Main research interests are forest insect population dynamics, and urban ecology. Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications, including two monographs: «Insects-phyllofagous of urban forests: a community structure and population dynamics», Novosibirsk, Nauka, 2004 (in Russian with summary and title in English); «Optimization models of interactions between populations», Novosibirsk, Nauka, 2008 (in Russian with English summary and title); «Population dynamics and stability of forest insects with low density (using the example of populations of the bordered white Bupalus piniarius L.)» In «Contemp. Probl. Ecol.», 2014.
