Tretyakov Sergei Vasilyevich, born 6 September, 1956. Graduated from Arkhangelsk Institute of Forest Technology (AIFT) (in 1994 AIFT renamed to Arkhangelsk of the Red Banner of Labor Order State University of Technology named after V. V. Kuibyshev (ASUT), in 2010 on the base of ASUT founded Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M. V. Lomonosov (NArFU)), Forestry Faculty (at the present time – Higher School of Natural Sciences and Technologies), with a specialty in Forestry and qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Arkhangelsk (1978). Doctor of Agricultural Sciences in Forest Science, Silviculture, Forest Planning and Forest Inventory (2011). DSc thesis: «Dinamika Formirovaniya i Produktivnost' Smeshannykh Sosnovykh Drevostoev Srednei Podzony Taigi Evropeiskogo Severa Rossii» (Dynamics of Formation and Productivity of Mixed Pine Tree Stands of the Middle Taiga Subzone of the European North of Russia), Arkhangelsk, 2011 (in Russian). Professor for the Department of Silviculture and Forest Planning, Head for the «Forest Research Center» of Higher School of Natural Sciences and Technologies NArFU (since 2017). PI and Co-PI for a numerous national Russian and international research projects, related to sustainable forest management. Expert in forest science, silviculture, forest management, forest inventory, forest resource assessment, forest planning, and voluntary forest certification. Author and coauthor of 190 scientific publications, including 8 books.
