Grodnitskaya Irina Dmitrievna, born 9 March, 1959 in Salair town of Kemerovo region, Russia. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) Faculty of Biology and Chemistry, with a specialty in "Biology" (1983) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) (1996), Associate Professor (2005), Doctor of Biological Sciences (2013) in Ecology (Biology). DSc. thesis: «Ekologo-Mikrobiologicheskaya Indikatsiya i Bioremediatsiya Pochv Estestvennykh i Narushennykh Lesnykh Ekosistem Sibiri» (Ecological and Microbiological Indication and Bioremediation of Soils in Natural and Disturbed Forest Ecosystems of Siberia), Krasnoyarsk, 2013 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Microbiology and Ecological Biotechnology at V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch. Expert in soil microbiology, phytopathology, ecological biotechnology (microbial bioremediation), microbial biogeochemistry (cycles of carbon and nitrogen, including greenhouse gases). Member of interregional public organization (NGO) of V. V. Dokuchaev Soil Scientists’ Society (2008) and Y. A. Ovchinnikov Russian Society of Biotechnologist. Associate Professor (2001-2013, part-time) for the Department of Ecological and Chemical Examination of Goods (at the present time - Department of Merchandising and Examination of Goods) in Krasnoyarsk State Trade-Economic Institute (KSTEI) (In 2013 KSTEI being included to Siberian Federal University). Supervise and teach bachelor and master course students in the Siberian Federal University, and post-graduate students in V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch. Participant of more than 70 Russian national and International scientific conferences. Cooperates with Russian and foreign (Kazakhstan, Germany) researchers. Since 2008 conducts research in permafrost zone of the Northern Siberia under German-Russian Agreement (AVI-IF SB RAS): definition of participation of microorganisms in the greenhouse gases (CH4 and CO2) emission on the Samoilovsky island (delta of Lena river). Participates in the German-Russian CarboPerm project. Author and co-author of 118 scientific publications, including 40 in peer-reviewed journals.
