Petropavlovskiy Boris Sergeevich

Petropavlovskiy Boris Sergeevich, born 04 February 1937 in the city of Bryansk, Bryansk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Bryansk Institute of Technology (at the present time – Bryansk State University of Engineering and Technology), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Institute of Forest Complex, Transport and Ecology), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Bryansk, Bryansk Oblast, Soviet Union (1961). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Science, Silviculture, Forest Fires and Fire Fighting (1968), Doctor of Biological Sciences (2004), Professor (2012) in Botany. PhD thesis: «Lesovodstvennaya Otsenka Postepenykh i Vyborochnykh Rubok v Kedrovo-Shirokolistvennykh Lesakh Dal'nego Vostoka» (Silvicultural Assessment of Gradual and Selective Cuts in Korean Pine-Broad-Leaved Forests of Far East), Khabarovsk, Far East For. Res. Inst., 1968 (in Russian). DSc thesis: «Ekologo-Geograficheskii Analiz Lesnoi Rastitelnosti Primorskogo Kraya» (Environmental-Geographical Analisis of Forest Vegetation of Primorsky krai), Vladivostok, Inst. Biol. & Soil Sci., Rus. Acad. Sci., Far East. Br. (in 2017 Inst. Biol. & Soil Sci., Rus. Acad. Sci., Far East. Br. has been reorganized to the Federal Scientific Center of Biodiversity of the East Asia Terrestrial Biota, Rus. Acad. Sci., Far East. Br.), 2004 (in Russian). Specialist in Far Eastern dendroflora, forest science, mapping and monitoring of forest vegetation. Author and co-author of more than 330 scientific publications.
