Proskuryakov Mikhail Alexandrovich
Proskuryakov Mikhail Alexandrovich, born 31 March, 1937 in the city of Moscow, Russia (former USSR). Graduated from Kazakh Agricultural Institute (at the present time – Kazakh National Agrarian University) Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Faculty of Forest, Land Resources and Horticulture), Almaty, Kazakhstan (1960). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) (1964) and Senior Research Scientist (1966) in Silviculture, Doctor of Biological Sciences in Ecology (1983). Chief Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Dendrology, Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1983). Expert in forest science, ecology, introduction of plants. Associate editor for international peer-reviewed scientific journals "Eko-Potencsial (Eco-Ponential)" and "Sibirskij Lesnoj Zurnal (Siberian Journal of Forest Science)". Author and co-author of more than 140 scientific publications, including 8 books.
