Shishikin Alexander Sergeevich, born 21 August 1950. Graduated from the Siberian Institute of Technology (SibIT) (in 1997 SibIT renaimed to Siberian State University of Technology (SibSUT), in 2016 SibSUT affiliated to Academician M. F. Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology), Faculty of Forestry (in 2017 Faculty of Forestry included to the Institute of Forest Technologies), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (1973). Candidate (PhD, 1985) and Doctor (2006) of Biological Sciences in Ecology. PhD thesis: "Lesa Krasnoyarskogo Priangarya kak Sreda Obitaniya Zaitsa Belyaka" (Forests of Krasnoyarsk Priangarie as the Habitats for Lepus), Krasnoyarsk, V. N. Sukachev Inst. For. and Timber, Sib. Br., USSR Acad. Sci. (since 1992 – V. N. Sukachev Inst. For., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br.), 1985 (in Russian). Specialist in thematic application of a remote sensing and GIS technologies on evaluation of forest animals' habitats and resources (hunting planning and management), projecting especially protected natural territories, evaluation of technogenic impact (oil extraction, coal and gold mining, water reservoirs of a hydro power stations, pollutants) on animal population. Head and supervisor for an international research projects on evaluation of fires' impact to forest ecosystems, building and exploiting large industrial objects (Norilsk mining and smelting plant, Boguchany hydro power station et al.), elaboration schemes for development and projecting especially protected natural territories, hunting grounds planning and management (more than 50 regions in Siberia). Author and co-author of more than 220 papers, including 7 monographs, 3 text-books, patent for an invention.
