Chesnokov Nikolay Vasilievich, born 14 October, 1960. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University), Faculty of Chemistry, with a specialty in Chemistry, qualification Chemist, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (1983). Candidate (PhD, 1995), and Doctor (DSc, 2006) of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor (2005) in Physical Chemistry. PhD thesis: "Gidroformilirovanie Propilena na Nanesennykh Palladievykh Katalizatorakh, Modifitsirovannykh Lantanidami" (Hydroformylation of Propylene at Applied Palladium Catalysts, Modified by Lanthanides), Krasnoyarsk, Inst. Chem. Chem. Technol., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., 1995 (in Russian). Research interests in study regularities of formation of porous structure of carbon materials, obtained by chemical modification and subsequent heat treatment of natural plant polymers, coals and graphite, catalytic processing of plant biomass. Author and co-author of more than 250 papers, including 1 monograph, and 8 patents for an inventions.
