Vedrova Estella Fedorovna, born 2 January, 1939. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk Agricultural Institute (at the present time – Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University), Faculty of Agronomy (at the present time – Institute of Agrarian and Ecological Technology) (1963). Doctor of Biological Sciences in Ecology. DSc thesis: «Destruktsionnye Protsessy v Uglerodnom Tsikle Lesnyh Ekosistem Eniseiskogo Meridiana» (Destructive Processes in Carbon Cycle of Forest Ecosystems of Yenisei Meridian), Krasnoyarsk, V. N. Sukachev Inst. For., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., 2005 (in Russian). Leading Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Biogeochemical Cycles in Forest Ecosystems, Federal Research Center Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, in the city of Krasnoyarsk. Specialist in biogeocenology. Research interests in the study of intensity and direction of pedogenesis in forest ecosystems, parameters of biogeochemical cycles of carbon, nitrogen and mineral elements in developing and undisturbed natural forest ecosystems. Geography of research is the central part of Siberia: from forest-steppe zone to forest-tundra forests. Author and co-author of more than 150 scientific publications.
