This article is published to commemorate the 90^th birthday of Yulia Sergeevna Cherednikova, a renowned geobotanist and forest typologist who has worked continuously at V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest SB RAS since 1959. Over the years, Yulia Sergeevna Cherednikova actively participated in expeditions to various regions of Siberia and adjacent territories (the Sayan Mountains, the Lake Baikal basin, Mongolia, the Ural-Siberian Subarctic, and others) as part of the strategically important «Forest Zoning of Siberia» project. A number of major articles and monographs have been published based on the results of her research.
