Akulov Eugeniy Nikolaevich

Akulov Eugeniy Nikolaevich, born 16 May 1980, in the town of Minusinsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University), Faculty of Biology, with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, specialization in Plant Physiology (2003), PhD studies in Ecology at the Lab. For. Zool. V. N. Sukachev Inst. For., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br. (2006), in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. Head for the Laboratory at Krasnoyarsk Branch of the All-Russian Center for Plant Quarantine («VNIIKR»), in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (2013-present). Specialist in various insect families, including plant pests. Scientific interests in systematics and ecology of insects of Krasnoyarsk Krai, including invasive species found in quarantine products of imported and domestic origin. Participates in the development of methods for the detection and identification of quarantine insect species, as well as in the survey of territories for the detection of dangerous species. Has completed multiple professional internships in the detection and identification of quarantine pest species. Participant of All-Russian and International conferences, author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications. Co-author of 7 new species of microlepidoptera (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae, Coleophoridae) for science.
