Chernen'kova Tat'yana Vladimirovna, born 16 May 1957. Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Biology, Department of Geobotany, with a specialty in Botany (1980). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (1985), Doctor of Biological Sciences in Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources (2000). PhD thesis: «Vliyanie Promyshlennykh Vybrosov Metallurgicheskikh Kombinatov na Lesnye Fitotsenozy» (Influence of Industrial Pollution of Metallurgical Plants on Forest Phytocoenoses), Moscow, 1985 (in Russian). DSc. Thesis: «Dinamika Biologicheskogo Raznoobraziya Taeznykh Lesov v Usloviyakh Promyshlennogo Zagryazneniya» (Dynamics of Biological Diversity of Taiga Forests in the Conditions of Industrial Pollution), Moscow, 2000 (in Russian). Leading Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Structural and Functional Organization and Resilience of Forest Ecosystems, Centre for Problems of Ecology and Productivity of Forest, Russian Academy of Sciences, in the city of MoscowRussia. Expert in forest ecology, cartographic modeling, boreal forests, plant cover, forest communities, biodiversity, forest dynamic. Associate Editor-in-Chief for peer-reviewed scientific journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences «Lesovedenie» (Rus. J. For. Sci.). Author and co-author of more than 150 papers and 5 books.
