Graduated from A. M. Gor’kiy Ural State University (USU) (12 May 2011 USU has been affiliated to Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Eltsin), Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Department of Biology and Fundamental Medicine, Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics), with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, in the city of Sverdlovsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (1975). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD, 1982), Associate Professor (2006) in Ecology. PhD thesis: «Analiz Populyatsionnoy Izmenchivosti Polevok Gruppy Microtus juldaschi-carruthersi» (Analysis of Population Variability in Voles of the Microtus juldaschi-carruthersi Group), Yekaterinburg, Inst. Plant & Animal Ecol. Ural Sci. Center USSR Acad. Sci. (at the present time – Inst. Plant & Animal Ecol., Ural Br. Rus. Acad. Sci.), 1982 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Functional Ecology of Terrestrial Animals, Inst. Plant & Animal Ecol., Ural Br. Rus. Acad. Sci., in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia (1977-present). Scientific interests in study ecology of communities, small mammals, anthropogenic transformation of forests, influence of urbanization on ecosystems.
