Dymov Alexey Alexandrovich, born 19 April, 1981. Graduated from Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University, Faculty of Chemistry and Biology (at the present time – Institute of Natural Sciences), with a specialty in Chemistry (2003). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology and Soil Science (2007). PhD thesis: «Izmenenie Pochv v Proscesse Estestvennogo Lesovosstanovleniya (na Primere Podzolov Srednei Taigi, Sformirovannykh na Dvuchlennykh Otlozeniyakh» (Change of Soils Through Natural Forest Regeneration (by the Example of Middle Taiga Podzols, Formed on Two-Term Deposits), Syktyvkar, 2007 (in Russian). Research Scientist for the Department of Soil Science at the Institute of Biology, Komi Republic Scientific Centre, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ural Branch, in the city of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic. Specialist in forest soil science and soil chemistry. PI for scientific projects related to the study of the effects of logging and fires on forest ecosystems of the European North of Russia.
