Evdokimenko Mikhail Danilovich

Evdokimenko Mikhail Danilovich, born 15 March, 1941 in the village of Nivnoe, Surazhsky District, Bryansk Oblast, Russia. Graduated from Bryansk Institute of Technology (at the present time – Bryansk State University of Engineering and Technology), Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Institute of Forest Complex, Transport and Ecology, in the city of Bryansk, Russia (1963). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Planning and Forest Inventory (1970). PhD thesis: «Оsobennosti Rosta i Tekushchiy Prirost Modal'nykh Sosnovykh Nasazhdeniy Bryanskogo Lesnogo Massiva» (Specifics of Growth and Current Increment of Modal Pine Stands of Bryansk Woodland), Брянск, Bryansk Inst. Technol., 1969 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist (since 1980) for the Laboratory of Forest and Soil Science at V. N. Sukachev Institute of Forest, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., Fed. Res. Center, Krasnoyarsk Sci. Center, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. The Honored Veteran of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. For a creative scientific activity of many years and outstanding contribution to the development of science, awarded by the Honorary Notes of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and of the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Research interests in forest growth and productivity, nature of forest fires at the Baikal Lake basin, Transbaikalia, Mongolia, Baikal-Amur railroad region, modernization of fire-prevention system in forest management. Author and co-author of more than 115 scientific publications, including 3 books.
