Filippov Evgeniy Gennad’evich, born 31 August, 1964, in the city of Sverdlovsk (4 Sept. 1991 the city of Sverdlovsk regained its historical name Yekaterinburg), Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from A. M. Gor’kiy Ural State University (USU) (12 May 2011 USU has been affiliated to Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Eltsin), Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Department of Biology and Fundamental Medicine, Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics), with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist (1986), PhD studies in Botany (1986-1988) at the Inst. Ecol. Plants & Animals Ural Br. USSR Acad. Sci. (at the present time – Inst. Ecol. Plants & Animals, Ural Br., Rus. Acad. Sci.), in the city of Sverdlovsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Soviet Union. After separation of the Institute of Forest Ural Br. USSR Acad. Sci. from the Inst. Ecol. Plants & Animals Ural Br. USSR Acad. Sci., continued PhD studies in Botany at the Institute of Forest Ural Br. USSR Acad. Sci. (1988-1989). After finishing PhD studies employed as a Junior Research Scientist for the Institute of Forest, Ural Br., USSR Acad. Sci. (1989). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Botany (1997).
