Gichan Dmitriy Vladimirovich, born 05 August 1998, in the city of Obninsk, Kaluga Oblast, Russia. Graduated from the Rus. St. Agr. Univ. – Moscow Timiryazev Agr. Acad., Inst. Amelioration, Water Manag. and Construct. named after A. N. Kostyakov, Dep. Land Plan. Silvicult., with BSc (2016-2020), and MSc (2020-2022) (Diploma with Distinction) in Forestry, study program in Forest Planning and Management of Forest Resources, additionally training in the Fundamentals of Soil Science for Ecologists and Environmental Engineers (Osnovy Pochvovedeniya dlya Ekologov i Inzhenerov-Ekologov), at the Soil Sci. Faculty, Lomonosov Moscow St. Univ. (2023), in the city of Moscow, Russia. Junior Research Scientist, PhD studies in Forest Science, Silviculture, Forest Crops, Agroforestry, Landscaping, Forest Pyrology and Survey at the Laboratory of Climate Regulating Functions of Forests, the Center for Forest Ecology and Productivity named after A. S. Isaev, Rus. Acad. Sci., in the city of Moscow, Russia (2022-present). Research interests in forest science, silviculture, forest inventory, soil science, the carbon balance of forest ecosystems, and the development of secondary forests on abandoned agricultural lands. Author and co-author of more than 10 scientific publications.
