Gladkova Galina Alexandrovna

Gladkova Galina Alexandrovna, born 26 September, 1957 in the city of Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia. Graduated from the Far Eastern State University (at the present time – Far Eastern Federal University), Faculty of Biology and Soil Science (at the present time – Cluster of Biological Departments, School of Natural Sciences), with a specialty in Biology, and qualification Biologist, in the city of Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia (1981). In 1974 began to work in the Inst. Biol. & Soil Sci., Far East. Sci. Centre USSR Acad. Sci. (in 1992 renaimed to the Inst. Biol. & Soil Sci., Rus. Acad. Sci., Far East. Br., and in 2017 reorganized to the Federal Scientific Center of Biodiversity of the East Asia Terrestrial Biota, Rus. Acad. Sci., Far East. Br.), where has gone way from a Laboratory Assistant to a Senior Research Scientist, in the city of Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia. Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Soils Science (1997). PhD thesis: «Osobennosti Pochvoobrazovaniya v Usykhayushchikh Pikhtovo-Elovykh Lesakh Primor’ya» (Peculiarities of the Soil-Formation Process in Declining Fir-Spruce Forests of Primorye), Vladivostok, Inst. Biol. & Soil Sci., Rus. Acad. Sci., Far East. Br., 1997 (in Russian). Chair (since 2017 to present time) for the Sector of Forest Science at Federal Scientific Center on Biodiversity of Terrestrial Biota of the Eastern Asia, Far-Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in the city of Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia. Research interests in forest ecology, forest soil science, forest science, dynamics of soil- and forest formation processes. Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications including 6 books.
