Graduated from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Universidade de Santiaga de Compostela), Department of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering (Departamento Ingeniería Agroforestal), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry (2000), and PhD in Forest Biometrics (2003), in the city of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain. Visiting Researcher at: the University of Göttingen - Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, in the city of Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany (2005); University of Padova (Università degli Studi di Padova), in the city of Padua, Italy (2008); and the Forest Research, in the United Kingdom (2011).
