Grabovskiy Vasiliy Isaakovich, born 9 June 1957, in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine (former Soviet Union). Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Biology, with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, in the city of Moscow, Soviet Union (1980). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (1988). PhD thesis: «Zakonomernosti Prostranstvennoy Organizatsii Populyatsiy Ptits v Gnezdovoy Period» (Patterns of Spatial Organization of Bird Populations During the Nesting Period), Moscow, A. N. Severtsov Inst. of Evolution Morphology and Ecology of Animals, USSR Acad. Sci. (at the present time – A. N. Severtsov Inst. Ecol. & Evolut. Rus. Acad. Sci.), 1988 (in Russian). Leading Research Scientist for the Research Group of Accounting Carbon of Terrestrial Ecosystems Laboratory of Structural and Functional Organization and Resilience of Forest Ecosystems, Center for Forest Ecology and Productivity Rus. Acad. Sci., in the city of Moscow, Russia (2008-present). Research interests in mathematical modeling, carbon cycle of terrestrial ecosystems, global climate change. Author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications.
