Grigoriev Andrey Andreevich

Grigoriev Andrey Andreevich, born 17 September 1986, in the closed settlement (ZATO) of Zlatoust-36 (29 Oct. 1993 ZATO Zlatoust-36 renaimed to ZATO Tryokhgorny), Chelyabinsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Ural State Forest Engineering University, Faculty of Forestry (at the present time – Institute of Forest and Nature Management), with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry, in the city of Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia (2009). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Science, Silviculture, Forest Planning and Forest Inventory (2011). PhD thesis: «Formirovanie Drevostoev Listvennitsy i Berezy v Vysokogor’yakh Pripolyarnogo Urala v Usloviyakh Sovremennogo Izmeneniya Klimata» (Formation of Larch and Birch Tree Stands in the Highlands of the Subpolar Urals under Conditions of Modern Climate Change), Yekaterinburg, Ural St. For. Engineer. Univ., 2011 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Geoinformation Technologies, Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology, Ural Br., Rus. Acad. Sci., in the city of Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia (2011-present). Scientific interests in study modern expansion of tree and shrub vegetation into mountain tundras, meadows and woodlands in the Urals, the main forest-forming tree species growing in the ecotone of the upper limit of tree vegetation in the Urals, especially Juniperus sibirica Burgsd. Author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications, patent of the Russian Federation for the invention.
