Jamiyansuren Sandagdorj, born in 1948 in Zavkhan province, Mongolia. Graduated from Mongolian State Agricultural Institute, Forestry Faculty, with a specialty in Forestry, in the city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (1976). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Plantations, Selection and Seed Growing (1992). PhD thesis: «Vnutrividovaya Izmenchivost', Kachestvo Semyan i Lesosemennoe Raionirovanie Listvenniscy v Vostochnom Khentee Mongolii» (Intraspecific Variation, Seed Quality and Forest Seed Zoning of Larch in Eastern Khentey, Mongolia), Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 1992 (in Mongolian with abstract in Russian). Associate Professor for the Department of Forestry and Plant Cultivation (1993), Senior Research Scientist for the Department of Forest Science at Institute of General and Experimental Biology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences in the city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Scientific interests in forest genetics, breeding, dendrology, and seed growing. Author and co-author of more than 40 scientific publications, including 1 teaching book and 2 books.
