Kalaev Vladislav Nikolaevich
Kalaev Vladislav Nikolaevich, born 11 November 1974, in the rural locality of Novaya Zhizn' Anninsky District, Voronezh Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Voronezh State University, Faculty of Biology and Soil Science (at the present time – Faculty of Medicine and Biology), with MS in Biology, in the city of Voronezh, Voronezh Oblast, Russia (1998). Candidate (PhD, 2000) and Doctor (DSc, 2009) of Biological Sciences in Genetics and Ecology. PhD thesis: «Tsitogeneticheskiy Monitoring Zagryazneniya Okruzhayushchey Sredy s Ispol'zovaniem Rastitel'nykh Test-Ob'ektov» (Cytogenetic Monitoring of Environmental Pollution Using Plant Test Objects), Voronezh, Voronezh St. Univ., 2000 (in Russian). DSc thesis: «Tsitogeneticheskie Reaktsii Listvennykh Drevesnykh Rasteniy na Stressovye Usloviya i Perspektivy ikh Ispol'zovaniya dlya Otesenki Genotoksichnosti Okruzhayushchey Sredy» (Cytogenetic Responses of Deciduous Woody Plants to Stress Conditions and Prospects for Their Use for Assessing Environmental Genotoxicity), Voronezh, Voronezh St. Univ., 2009 (in Russian). PI for the state national and non-governmental research grants of the «Russian Foundation for Basic Research», «Federal Targeted Program» etc. Author and co-author of more than 550 scientific publications, patents for an inventions, three books.
