Kalugina Olga Vladimirovna

Kalugina Olga Vladimirovna, born 5 December, 1979 in the town of Vikhorevka, Bratsky District, Irkutsk Oblast, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Irkutsk State University, Faculty of Biology and Soil Studies, with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, Teacher of Biology, in the city of Irkutsk, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia (2002). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (2006). PhD thesis: «Elementnyi Sostav Khvoi i Morphofiziologicheskie Pokazateli Sosny Obyknovennoi (Pinus sylvestris L.) v Usloviyakh Tekhnogennogo Zagryazneniya» (Elemental Composition of Needles and Morphophysiological Indices of Scots Pine Pinus sylvestris L. in the Conditions of Technogenic Pollution), Krasnoyarsk, V. N. Sukachev Inst. For., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br.,  2005 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Lab. Nat. Anthrop. Ecosyst., Sib. Inst. Plant Physiol. Biochem., Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., in the city of Irkutsk, Russia (2006-present). Specialist in ecological physiology of the main forest-forming coniferous species. Scientific interests in assessment of a condition of forest ecosystems impacted by negative factors of different genesis. PI for the research project on study ecological damage to forest ecosystems in the Baikal region impacted by aluminum plants emissions. Winner for the Grant of the Regional Public Fund for assistance to national science, with a nomination for «The Best Graduate Students of the Russian Academy of Sciences». Author and co-author of more than 90 scientific publications, including 2 books.
