Karahalil Uzay, born 9 May, 1978 in the district of Kadıköy, city of Istanbul, Turkey. Graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forestry Engineering, with a specialty in Forestry, qualification Engineer of Forestry (2000), and PhD in Forest Management (2009), in the city of Trabzon, Turkey. Assistant Professor in Forest Management for the Department of Forestry Engineering, Faculty of Forestry, Karadeniz Technical University, in the city of Trabzon, Turkey. Specialist in designing protected area forest management plans, using remote sensing, geographic information systems and operations research in forest management applications. Author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications.
