Kaverin Dmitry Alexandrovich, born 25 July, 1978. Graduated from Komi State Pedagogical Institute (at the present time – Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University), Faculty of Geography and Biology (at the present time – Institute of Natural Sciences), with a specialty in Geography (2000). Candidate of Geographical Sciences (PhD) in Soil Science (2004). PhD thesis: «Avtomorfnye Pochvy na Dvuchlennykh Porodakh v Srednei Taige Evropeiskogo Severo-Vostoka» (Automorphic Soils on Binomal Rocks in Middle Taiga of the European North-East), Moscow, 2004 (in Russian). Senior Research Scientist for the Department of Soil Science at the Institute of Biology, Komi Republic Scientific Centre, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ural Branch, in the city of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic (2014). Specialist in cryopedology. PI for scientific international projects related to the study of thaw depth and temperature dynamics in soils of southern tundra. Author of 13 papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
