Kazantseva Maria Nikolaevna

Kazantseva Maria Nikolaevna, born 6 February, 1961 in the town of Kungur, Kungursky District, Perm Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from the University of Tyumen, Faculty of Biology (at the present time – Institute of Biology), with a specialty in Biology and Chemistry, qualification Biologist, Teacher of Biology and Chemistry, in the city of Tyumen, Tyumen Oblast, Soviet Union (1983). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Ecology (1995). PhD thesis: «Vliyanie Neftyanogo Zagryazneniya na Taezhnye Fitotsenozy Srednego Priob’ya» (Influence of Oil Pollution on Taiga Phytocoenoses of the Middle Priob’e), Yekaterinburg, Inst. Plant and Animal Ecol., Rus. Acad. Sci., Ural Br., 1995 (in Russian). Leading Research Scientist for the Sector of Biodiversity and Dynamics of Natural Complexes, Institute of Problems of Development of the North – subdivision of the Federal Research Center Tyumen Scientific Center, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., in the city of Tyumen, Tyumen Oblast, Russia (2001-present). Research interests in study biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability. Author and co-author of more than 190 scientific publications.
