Kharpukhaeva Tatiana Mikhaylovna, born 13 November 1976, in the city of Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from the Banzarov Buryat State University, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography (at the present time – Faculty of Biology, Geography and Land Management), department of Biology and Geography, with a specialty in Biology, qualification Biologist, in the city of Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russia (1999). Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD) in Botany (2004). PhD thesis: «Lishayniki Severo-Vostochnogo Pribaykal’ya: Sostav i Ekologo-Tsenoticheskoe Raspredelenie» (Lichens of the Northeastern Baikal Region: Composition and Ecological-Coenotic Distribution), Ulan-Ude, Buryat State Univ., 2004 (in Russian). Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Floristics and Geobotany, Institute of General and Experimental Biology, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., in the city of Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russia (2004-present). Research interests in lichenology, floristics, study of the mountainous territories of the Baikal region and Southern Siberia. Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications.
