Kharuk Vyacheslav Ivanovich, born 18 December, 1949 in the village of Ivanovka, Sharypovsky District, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Krasnoyarsk State University (KSU) (in 2006 KSU being included to Siberian Federal University), Faculty of Physiscs, with a specialty in Biophysics, qualification Physicist, Teacher of Physics, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (1971). Candidate (PhD, 1978), and Doctor (DSc, 1993) of Biological Sciences, Professor (1997) in Biophysics. PhD thesis: «Spektrofotometricheskie Issledovaniya Vnelistovykh Pigmentov» (Spectrophotometric Studies of Extrafoliaceous Pigments), L. V. Kirensky Inst. Physics, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib.
