Krasnov Vitaliy Gennad’evich, born 24 November, 1976 in the village of Kudesnery, Urmarsky District, the Chuvash Republic, Russia (former USSR). Graduated from the Mari State University of Engineering (MSUE) (in 2012 MSUE has been renaimed to Volga State University of Technology), Faculty of Forestry and Ecology (at the present time – Institute of Forestry and Nature Management), with a specialty in Forestry and Forest-Park Economy, qualification Engineer of Forestry and Forest Park Economy (1999), PhD studies in Forest Crops, Selection and Seed Growing at the Mari State University of Engineering, in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, Mari El Republic, Russia (1999-2001). Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) in Forest Crops, Selection and Seed Growing, and in Plant Protection (2005). PhD thesis: «Proizvoditel’nost’ i Sanitarnoe Sostoyanie Kul’tur Duba Chereshchatogo v Severo-Vostochnoy Chasti Privolzhskoy Vozvyshennosti» (Productive Capacity and Health Conditions of English Oak Crops in the North-Eastern Part of the Volga Area Uplands), Yoshkar-Ola, Mari State Univ. Engineer., 2004 (in Russian). Associate Professor (2006), Senior Research Scientist for the Department of Forest Crops, Selection and Biotechnology, Institute of Forestry and Nature Management, Volga State University of Technology, in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, Mari El Republic, Russia (since 2014 to present time). Research interests in restoration of forest stands of higher biological sustainability in the conditions of suramen and oak forests. Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications, methodical and textbooks, and 3 patents of the Russian Federation for the inventions.
