Lamchin Munkhnasan, born 30 November, 1982 in the city of Bayankhongor, Bayankhongor aimag (province), Mongolia. Undergraduate and graduate studies for major of Geography at the National University of Mongolia, School of Arts and Sciences, with BSc (2003) and MSc (2007) of Geography, in the city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. PhD studies for major of Environmental Science and Ecological Engeenering at the Korea University, Graduate School of Life and Environmental Science, Department of Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering, in the city of Seoul, Republic of Korea (2012-2014). PhD dissertation: «Monitoring vegetation dynamics and assessing desertification using remote sensed data in Mongolia», Korea Univ., Seoul, Republic of Korea, 2016 (in English). Post-Doctoral Researcher for the Environmental GIS/RS Lab., Environmental GIS/RS Centre, Department of Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering, Graduate School of Life and Environmental Science, Korea University (since February 2016 to present time). Participant of a numerous research projects related to desertification using GIS and remote sensing monitoring and vulnerability assessment. Author and co-author of research papers.
