Lashchinskiy Nikolay Nikolaevich, born 18 December, 1960 in the city of Novosibirsk, Soviet Union (since 1992 – Russia). Graduated from Tomsk State University (at the present time – National Research Tomsk State University), Faculty of Biology and Soils (at the present time – Institute of Biology), Department of Botany, with a specialty in Biology and Chemistry, qualification Teacher of Biology and Chemistry, in the city of Tomsk, Tomsk Oblast, Soviet Union (1982). Candidate (PhD, 1989), and Doctor (DSc, 2005) of Biological Sciences in Botany. PhD Thesis: «Struktura i Ekologiya Osinovykh Lesov Salaira» (Structure and Ecology of Aspen Forests of Salair), Novosibirsk, Central Sib. Bot. Garden, Rus. Acad. Sci., Sib. Br., 1989 (in Russian).
